SPCA is one of the best loved and most respected charities in New Zealand, with a proud history of helping animals in need and advocating for animal welfare since 1872.About the rolePermanent full-time roleMonday to Friday 08.00am to 05.00pmYour enthusiasm and dedication will see you:Respond to enquiries from members of the public, ensuring all enquiries are handled appropriately and professionally.Triage, coordinate and attend non-inspectorate animal emergencies.Provide animal transport for non-welfare complaint related animals, such as ambulance collection, transportation and transfer of animals, trapping of animals, community desexing and transporting sick, injured and vulnerable animals.Assist with administration including but not limited to ShelterBuddy updates, processing of animals, data entry and animal handling.What we need from you:The minimum qualification for this position is to be the holder of current Auxiliary Officer License pursuant to Section 125(1) of the Animal Welfare Act 1999 or be willing and able to gain such an appointment (essential).Experience within the animal welfare and/or extensive animal handling in a previous role (essential).Full, clean driver's licence with ability to drive manual vehicle (essential).Experience driving larger vehicles such as vans and Utes, and confidence towing/reversing a trailer (desirable).Ability to work in the field which requires a degree of physical fitness.High personal standards and process drive.Honesty, integrity and professionalism.Resilience while retaining empathy.What we can offer you, our SPCA PurrksWorking with SPCA offers numerous benefits that we call "Purr-ks".
