What's on offer?
We are looking to appoint a Community & Stakeholder Manager to join our Newcastle Inner City Bypass Project Team. Working closely with Transport for NSW, this project comprises of 3.4kms of four-lane divided road with interchanges at Newcastle Road, Lookout Road, and the John Hunter Hospital precinct. Upgrades to existing connecting roads, pedestrian bridge, and underpass are included in the scope of works to complete. This $450 million project will provide essential infrastructure to the Newcastle community.
As a Community & Stakeholder Manager, you will proactively engage and build relationships with our community, stakeholders, and organisations. You will manage all aspects of community engagement for the project ensuring it's in alignment with the strategic and operational direction of the project. Day to day you will:

Lead the development and implementation of best practice community and stakeholder engagement plans;
Provide advice on approvals processes and emerging issues;
Drive necessary engagement with communities and other stakeholders to identify solutions;
Represent the business in community forums and develop communications materials;
Engage with the client, statutory bodies, local government, and media.

How you'll connect to the role:
As a Community Relations Manager, you will have a relevant qualification and experience in a communications, stakeholder management, or community liaison role. You will have a solid understanding and commitment to principles of equality, diversity, and continuous improvement. You will have experience in meeting contractual obligations as well as organisational and legislative requirements. Complete with high-level verbal and written skills including the writing and delivery of strategies, plans, and communications materials will see you thrive in this role.
