Community Services Team Leader - Wellington ABI Rehabilitation has an opportunity for an experienced allied health leader to join our progressive interdisciplinary community team as a Team Leader.
ABI are a leader in the field of brain injury rehabilitation and an accredited provider of post-acute, residential, and community-based rehabilitation for clients with traumatic brain injury.
The ABI Community Services IDT team provide services in clinics, homes, workplaces and schools for clients who have a brain injury, multi-trauma, musculoskeletal injuries and neurological diagnoses.
ABI's nga matapono (guiding principles) create a culturally safe environment where staff, clients and their whanau work together to achieve meaningful outcomes.
Our interdisciplinary team provides rehabilitation under the framework of ACC services including Concussion Services, Training for Independence, Assessment and Vocational Rehabilitation Services.
We link with our TBI inpatient facility to provide seamless transition for clients returning to living and working in the community, using a client-centred approach.
We are growing our Wellington community team, and we need a passionate and skilled Team Leader to join us on our journey.
The role is a joint clinical and leadership role, allowing you to continue using your exceptional clinical skills, while also developing other team members and supporting the Service manager with quality initiatives.

You will have an allied health degree/equivalent qualification and a minimum of five years' post grad experience.
Ideally, you'll have 3 years' experience with clinical supervision, training, and team management.
In this role, you will be a key part of the Community Services team in Wellington as well as form relationships with ABI's other community teams in Auckland and Northland, and our Inpatient team in Wellington.
You will also interact with ACC staff, other community-based therapists, as well as our clients and their whanau in supporting their rehabilitation.
You will support the ABI Wellington Community team to provide a high-quality rehabilitation service that meets professional, organizational and legislative requirements.
On-the-job training will be provided from our skilled and supportive team.
