We provide a range of high-quality therapeutic programmes with a strong multi-disciplinary focus.As a consultant psychiatrist at Te Toka Tumai, you will thrive in a vibrant, innovative, and diverse multidisciplinary environment. You will have many opportunities to develop and specialise, receiving ongoing support and mentoring from highly experienced clinicians.The community mental health teams provide a comprehensive range of therapeutic treatment options in collaboration with service users, their families/whanau, and local communities. This is achieved through the assessment and management of the complex health needs of service users, with effectively planned, episodic care that supports them to manage their overall healthcare needs along with home-based treatment options available.We are located close to the University of Auckland Medical School, offering the chance to become involved in the formal teaching programme and supervise medical students on placement in our services. It is also possible to supervise and teach Psychiatric Trainees on the Auckland Registrar Training Scheme.
