This is an excellent opportunity to work in a dynamic multi-disciplinaryservice focused on improving patient outcomes and bring your strong clinicalskills to our friendly and supportive multi-disciplinary team.You will join a proactive team of Occupational Therapistsproviding the highest standard of care for our patients. We pride ourselves onbeing friendly and supportive, and you will be nurtured in your career throughprofessional development opportunities.We are looking for an Occupational Therapist with experienceof and a strong interest in working with adults with physical needs. Inaddition, experience working in a rehab setting will be highly desirable.About you:Your responsibilities will include:Conducting thorough assessments to determinepatients' needs and creating individualized treatment plans.Delivering therapy and interventions to improvepatients' physical, cognitive, and psychosocial abilities.Educating patients and their families onstrategies for enhancing daily living activities and promoting overallwell-being.Collaborating with the healthcare team to ensurecohesive, comprehensive care.Keeping accurate records and tracking patients'progress throughout their treatment journey.You will be adaptable to change, resourceful,and flexible to service needs.Complex Housing and Level 1 Wheelchairaccreditation are welcome but not essential.Skills and experienceTo succeed in this role, apart from holding NZ registrationin Occupational Therapy and a current practising certificate, you shouldHave a strong foundation in occupational therapypractices, a collaborative mindset, and a commitment to deliveringcompassionate, patient-centred care.Preferably have experience in a hospital orclinical setting.Be ability to work independently in a small team with acommitment to provide high standards of patient care.Have strong communication and teamwork skillsBe competency with te ao Maori, tikanga, and tereo Maori or a commitment to starting your journey and taking ownership of yourlearning and growth.Have experience in projects / initiatives whichgive effect to Te Tiriti principals and frameworks, and the application ofMatauranga Maori and Kaupapa Maori approaches, particularly as they apply inhealthcare settings.Working for Health New ZealandHealth NZis 'the weaving of wellnesses.
