Community Midwife Outreach/Caseload Service Salary Band: $130,864 - $132,941 per annum + Kiwisaver 1 FTE Position (40 hours a week)Fixed term until October 2025Finish 2024 securing this exciting caseload opportunity. As an Otepoti Caseloading Midwife, you will work within a dynamic, professional and nurturing team environment that includes community midwives as well as case loading colleagues and senior midwifery leaders to provide comprehensive care across the care continuum (antenatal, intrapartum, postnatal) to whanau accessing our outreach services (catchment of approximately 300 whanau).

Mo te turanga | About the role Support the provision of an outreach service which meets the need of whanau, monitoring whanau needs, clinical outcomes, whanau satisfaction and clinical standards.Provide excellence in clinical care across the care continuum while being supported by and part of a wider community midwifery hybrid service.Ensure discharge planning/handover of care to a well child provider processes are robust and timely.Work collaboratively with the wider team to ensure service is streamlined, comprehensive, safe, efficient and effective.Engage in quality and risk programmes.Participate in nurturing education opportunities.It is essential that you are a NZ Registered Midwife and hold a current APC.Demonstrate sound professional and clinical judgement.Have relevant knowledge of patient safety and resource management.Demonstrate clinical quality, safety and best practice.Confidence to build successful working relationships with those around you, the ability to work independently or within a multidisciplinary team environment.Confidence with te ao Maori, tikanga, and te reo Maori or a commitment to starting your journey.Continuous support for career development.Subsidised gym membership and discounted health insurance.Access to discounted staff holiday accommodation and a range of retail discounts.Approximately 1,500 babies/pepi birth here at Otepoti/Dunedin Hospital annually. Utu whanui | Salary range This role falls under the terms and conditions of the MERAS Midwives Collective Agreement (1 February 2024 – 30 April 2025) and falls between the step 1 ($130,864 p.a prorata) and Step 2 ($130,864 p.a prorata) of the Community Midwives Salary Scale.
