Community Mental Health Nurse - Referrals Management Clinician Auckland, NZ New Zealand Government Seeking an experienced Mental Health Nurse to join Awhi Matua, community mental health team for older adults.
Permanent, Full-time (40 hours) per week, based at Greenlane Clinical Centre, right next to Cornwall Park.
Monday to Friday working week, 8am to 4.30pm.
Te whiwhinga mahi The Opportunity: This role is based with Awhi Matua, our community mental health team serving the central Auckland population of adults over 65 who are experiencing acute mental illness or behavioral difficulties associated with dementia.
The team works with people from acute crisis through to continuing care.
We are seeking an experienced mental health nurse for one of our two Referrals Management Clinician roles.
Your responsibilities will include clinical triage, liaison with referrers, and phone assessments following a triage pathway.
You will also work as a clinical team member in the Awhi Matua Community Team.
Nga Pukenga Motuhake Important Skills: You will be committed to the following principles: Whaiora and Whanau centred, Recovery oriented, and Equitable health outcomes for Maori and Pasifika.
You will need to have excellent interpersonal skills and be able to work effectively with multiple stakeholders with a variety of backgrounds and experiences.
You will be a NZ registered Mental Health Nurse with a minimum of three years clinical experience.
Ideally, you will have a postgraduate certificate/diploma in specialty mental health practice.
This is a community-based role, which requires a full NZ Drivers licence.
