Community Mental Health Community Acute Service Cornwall House · Seeking applications from experienced Registered Mental Health Nurses · Permanent, full time 1FTE role, Monday to Sunday
Te whiwhinga mahi The OpportunityCornwall House Community Mental Health Acute Service is based at Greenlane Clinical Centre, with great access to the Motorway, all public transport links and good staff parking.
You will be working with a well-established, supportive team of mental health clinicians with a wide range of experience and backgrounds.
You will be given the chance to develop professionally through a thorough induction period and the opportunity for a range of learning opportunities.
We are seeking applications from registered nurses who are experienced in Mental Health. The Community Acute Service provided by Te Toka Tumai Auckland is made up of 2 functions.
Our Planned Acute Care teams, based in each of the four adult Community Mental Health Services across Auckland, and our Urgent Response Service, based at Greenlane Clinical Centre.
As a member of our Community Acute Service, you will work across both parts of the service. The Community Acute Service operates 24 hours, 7 days a week.
Our Planned Acute Care teams provide a comprehensive range of therapeutic treatment options offering intensive home support when increased intervention is required.
As a key member of this professional, dedicated team, you'll be assessing and managing the needs of service users that are referred to the service with an acute mental health presentation and increased risk.
Our Planned Acute Care Team members are rostered into our Urgent Response Service (including weekends and nights). The Urgent Response Service assesses tangata whai i te ora who require an urgent mental health assessment. This is a dynamic team that responds assertively to the acute mental health needs of tangata whai i te ora in the community.
Qualifications and AttributesPossess clinical expertise and a strong focus on patient-centred care.Exhibit the ability to collaborate effectively with clients, mental health service providers, government agencies, and community organizations to advance clients' recovery.Hold a valid Annual Practicing Certificate (APC).Possess a Postgraduate Certificate in Mental Health.Have a minimum of 2 years of mental health experience working in a mental health setting.Demonstrate a dedicated commitment to biculturalism.Willing to become a Duly Authorised Officer of the Mental Health Act.For further details, please refer to the position description: Mental Health Professional Community Acute Service - Registered Nurse.
