About the Role Right now, we are seeking a registered nurse to join our team in a new role. This position is based within our neurodevelopmental clinic, which manages the referrals into Te Roopu Kimiora - Child and Adolescent Mental Health & Addiction Service, for assessment of ADHD, Autism and Intellectual Disability. The role will have a main focus on screening, assessment, follow up and psychoeducation of ADHD, but you may also be required to provide assessment and case management within other areas of the neurodevelopmental clinic and the wider CAMHS team.
About the Service Te Roopu Kimiora is a secondary care specialist mental health and addiction service seeing young people/rangatahi 0-18 years old who have moderate to severe mental health concerns. We work closely alongside the young person and their whanau to achieve goals that are set collaboratively so they can live to their fullest potential.
Te Roopu Kimiora is a vibrant and hardworking team, made up of many disciplines such as social workers, counsellors, nurses, psychologists and psychiatrists.
About you Competency with te ao Maori, tikanga, and te reo Maori or a commitment to starting your journey and taking ownership of your learning and growth.Experience in projects/initiatives which give effect to Te Tiriti principles and frameworks, and the application of Matauranga Maori and Kaupapa Maori approaches, particularly as they apply in healthcare settings.A qualified registered nurse with an Annual Practising Certificate.Experienced with working in a multi-disciplinary team.Able to display a working knowledge and have experience of professional practice in the area of Mental Health/Psychiatry, or similar, ideally working with children and youth.How to Apply To view the position description and/or apply for the role please click "apply now."
