Community Development (Community Services & Development)We are looking for the next awesome person to join our staff in a role that is equal mix exciting and fulfilling.About the roleOur newly created Community Lead role will look to continue the strong development within our community game, facilitating positive experiences for all. The role works across the Federation's three (3) strategic priorities of "Thriving Sustainable Clubs", "Enhancing Competitions" and "Innovative & Equitable Opportunities". Central to the position is ensuring that we develop, maintain, and thrive through strong, positive relationships within the communities we engage with.Within this role, there is scope to shape the position within our strategic goals to suit the right candidate.Key ResponsibilitiesCommunity Coach EducationSupport clubs in their ability to implement and deliver the Junior Framework.Lead the Club Community Development Plan, Good Sports and Balance is Better programs and support based on individual club needs and challenges.Support club delivery of New Zealand Football Community Coach Development.Support the development and training of Coach Developers in the region.Lead the delivery of Community Coach Courses where required.Create support mechanisms and development opportunities to increase quality of skills centres and quantity of participants.Alongside the Technical Director, support clubs to develop their skills centre programs through bespoke development for clubs and skills centre lead and support coaches.Lead the appraisal process of accredited or aspirational skills centres to ensure minimum standards of delivery are being met.Whole of Football Project LeadThe Whole of Football refresh is a project which will have a large positive impact on our game and clubs if done well. This position will lead the support of clubs as we implement the Whole of Football changes in 2026 with significant support to clubs being provided in mid/late 2025.Club Support and Relationship ManagementDevelop and maintain positive relationships with clubs, coaches, volunteers, diverse communities and support organisations, community leaders, councils, and schools.Manage the dissemination of all relevant information to best support the community and the various activities supporting the experience of participants.Use surveys and other feedback mechanisms targeted at specific stakeholders to assist with planning, review and program delivery.Actively develop strong relationships with clubs to ensure positive outcomes for the game.Why join our team?Mainland Football's purpose is "to facilitate positive experiences for all".
