We are set to deliver the most ambitious capital works programme our city has ever seen. The Infrastructure & Delivery group is central to much of this mahi. Sitting within our wider Infrastructure & Delivery group, Our Property and Capital Projects team are responsible for looking after our Council-owned property assets and providing a range of services and advice to both Council and the public. We're looking for a Community Housing Relationship Advisorto join our close-knit, and collaborative Property Team. The role & you As the Community Housing Relationship Advisor, you will support the Community Housing Relationship Lead (CHRL) to manage the relationship between Council and the new Community Housing Provider (CHP) Te Toi Mahana. In this newly established position, you will be a trusted advisor, providing quality, robust and informed advice relating to the operational and strategic relationship between Council and the CHP while responding to queries and requests from the Te Toi Mahana, so working with pace, accuracy and autonomy will be key to your success. As the relationship between Council and Te Toi Mahana evolves and develops, you will play a key role in this relationship. You will need to be a confident communicator and someone who can put complex ideas and processes into plain English. An enquiring mind, and a knowledge or experience in working in the Community / Social Housing environment is a must for this role as is being comfortable learning new systems and technologies. Above all, this role will require a genuine interest in your community and the positive impact you could have in this sector for generations to come. You will also need: Excellent research and communication skills Engagement with a wide range of stakeholders, dealing with issues and developing solutions An understanding of property/facilities management and maintenance Financial management and administration experience Property and Project management and reporting skills desirable Why this role?
