Keen to make a difference in our community? The role entails following up priority women who have either never been screened or are overdue for either breast or cervical screening.
In this role, you would need to engage with the women by telephone and in the community, to educate them on the importance of having regular screening, supporting their enrolment into the screening programmes and providing support and transport if required to screening, assessment, colposcopy and their first treatment appointments.
As you are required to transport women to their appointments it is imperative to have a full, clean driver's licence. To increase the service's ability to contact working women, some evening and weekend work may be required.
The preferred candidate will be someone that is a confident communicator, a self-starter, patient, discreet and tactful when dealing with women.
Intermediate computer skills are vital. You will be supported by a wider team and supervisor. There are many learning opportunities within Counties Manukau District that can assist you in reaching your goals.
