The opportunity We are looking for two full-time Hapori Kaitiaki to come join the teams at the Te Puke Library and Katikati Library and Service Centre. In this role you will:
Help to create a welcoming and safe environment in our public spaces for all our customers while working collaboratively with our Library Services and Customer Services Team.Build relationships and trust within our communities, working closely with local community social organisations and community police.To set you up for success, you'll have The ability to read a situation quickly and to de-escalate situations when emotions are running high.A track record of supporting customers who may have challenging wellbeing needs, the ability to build enriching customer relationships and the ability to understand the reasons behind customer issues in an empathetic judgement-free manner.The ability to work with different cultures and community groups and with all different kinds of people inside and outside the organisation.
