We pride ourselves on excellence, professionalism and on being driven by the people we support.As Community Facilitator you will provide a service that helps individuals with disabilities to:achieve their goals by working alongside themdevelop their skills and abilities to live independently in the home of their choiceenhance inclusion in the communities of their choiceassist and support employment opportunities as they ariseWe are looking for people who are passionate about supporting others, and excited about opportunities as the service grows and develops.Our ideal candidate will have:some experience in working with people with disabilitiesNZ Certificate in Health & Wellbeing (Support Worker) Level 3 or 4 or an equivalent, however we will support staff to complete this.the ability to work autonomously and be a part of a teamthe ability to be flexible with working hours and working approachthe ability to think on your feet and use initiativean open mind and be willing to learna calm nature with a sense of humora current full driver licencea reliable vehiclea current first aid certificate would be an advantagecompleted or be working towards a Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Education, Psychology or a related field would be an advantage but not essentialgood written and verbal communication skillsWhilst previous work experience in the disability/mental health/social services sector and a relevant qualification is advantageous, having the right drive and attitude is more important to your success in this role.
