About the role:
Are you passionate about building strong relationships with communities and facilitating active involvement in decision-making processes? We are looking for an engagement champion to lead the development and management of the Council's engagement strategy.
This is a new pivotal role, where you will guide our engagement efforts, ensuring that interaction is community-centric and reinforces the positive impact of the Council.

Managing and guiding the delivery of the strategy
Equipping and enabling staff with the engagement tools and philosophy
Providing measurement of, and reporting progress on the strategy
Things you will be proud of:
We are looking for a highly skilled professional with a degree in Communications or a related field, and at least four years of experience in a similar role within a large organisation, ideally with a focus on community engagement.
Your experience in developing, delivering and managing community engagement strategies will be key to this role as well as expertise in designing engagement plans and producing related communications.
A strong knowledge of best practice communication principles, stakeholder and/or project management, and Local Government legislation is essential.
