The successful candidate will be required to work effectively across a broad range of stakeholders in an evolving and growing community environment, guiding and supporting the achievement of the goals and objectives of Nga Toi o Waimakariri - The Waimakariri Arts Strategy.We are looking for self-motivated people who can motivate others and encourage innovative thinking to generate solutions to community-identified issues and opportunities related to arts in the Waimakariri District.To be successful in this position you will demonstrate significant experience in:Working to a community-led modelWorking with people from a diverse range of cultural, socio-economic, and values-based demographicsNetworkingCommunity EngagementNavigating systems and processes – ideally at local government levelFacilitating groups, including organising and running meetingsProject planning and evaluationWorking across a range of sectors, including health, education, business, social and community.You will need to be well-organised and able to manage a workload of diverse priorities to achieve timely outcomes.
You will be able to work well as part of a team.
Your ability to build rapport and influence will complement your excellent communication skills.
Being passionate and willing to bring energy and enthusiasm will definitely be a plus; as will knowledge and appreciation of the local arts!It would be advantageous to have had active involvement in a range of communities of interest and have knowledge of governance structures, including Trusts and Incorporated Societies.
