Kete does this through local schools, teaching children and their whanau meal preparation, recipe development and food provenance.
Kete is sustained through support from the local Tairawhiti community.We are on a mission to create stronger, healthier communities and we need a passionate Community Coordinator to help us achieve this vision.

)ABOUT THE ROLEAs the Community Coordinator, you will be the bridge between Kete and the community we work with and serve.
You will work closely with local suppliers, schools, whanau and community groups to build strong relationships, foster engagement, and translate these connections into increased awareness and sales growth.
This is a part time position of 20 hours per week.Your work will contribute to creating meaningful partnerships that resonate with Kete's mission of helping people thrive by connecting them to a healthy, sustainable and affordable food source.KEY RESPONSIBILITESBuild and maintain partnerships with local schools, suppliers, whanau and community groups.Organise and attend community & school events and educational workshops.Collaborate with suppliers to promote local food provenance and sustainability.Develop and implement creative engagement campaigns to boost Kete meal kits awareness and sales.Gather feedback to enhance educational initiatives and customer satisfaction.Create and release engaging content for social media and newsletter showcasing Kete's impact.ABOUT YOUWe're looking for someone with:Proven experience in community engagement, partnership development, or a related role.Have an established Tairawhiti community network and be able to grow it.Strong relationship-building skills and experience working with diverse communities.A passion for food, sustainability, and community, especially children well-being.Excellent communication skills, including public speaking and facilitation.Creative problem-solving, enjoy challenges and the ability to work both independently and in a small team.Wide experience with a variety of social media platforms.Tertiary education in relevant degree to the role or a background in sales or marketing is a plus.WHY JOIN US?Make a real difference in the Tairawhiti communityCollaborate with a passionate and tight-knit team.Be part of a mission-driven organisation rooted in values of connection, empowerment, balance, and resilience.If you are someone who loves a challenge and feels deeply driven to make real lasting impacts to our communities, we would love to hear from you!
