Details of the offer

Would you be interested in assisting teenagers and adults in your local community who are struggling with basic reading and writing skills? We offer training and ongoing support for those who are passionate about helping their community. In New Zealand, 35% of teenagers are below the standard level of literacy, which can have a significant impact on their overall wellbeing, employment opportunities, finances, and self-esteem. By working with us, you can help make a difference in your local community and help change people's lives by building awareness of our free services. As a local ambassador, you will represent us in your community and help promote our free reading and writing services by establishing and maintaining relationships with local organizations, businesses, and community minded individuals. This may involve distributing posters, leaflets, and student contact cards when visiting libraries, community centres, main employers, attending community network meetings or volunteer meetings, events, and expos on our behalf, and advocating for our services to reach those in need.
