About the Role This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Alcohol & Other Drug Clinician, with a minimum of 2 years' experience, to work alongside our highly skilled multi-disciplinary team. You will be conducting comprehensive alcohol and other drug assessments and developing collaborative recovery plans utilizing your range of therapeutic models that support your work with tangata whaiora and have a passion for group work, along with providing essential relapse prevention and counselling skills.
About the Team Community Alcohol and other Drugs Service (CADS), Te Whatu Ora Waikato, provides support and services for Tangata whaiora and whanau with complex alcohol and other drug concerns. Our CADS team works collaboratively with our Te Whatu Ora Waikato colleagues and across the Rohe to achieve results for our Tangata whaiora while continuously learning and developing our own skills.
About You Competency with te ao Maori, tikanga, and te reo Maori or a commitment to starting your journey and taking ownership of your learning and growth.Experience in upholding Te Tiriti principles and frameworks, and the application of Matauranga Maori and Kaupapa Maori approaches, particularly as they apply in healthcare settings.Registered member of Dapaanz with a current practising certificate.At least 2 years' experience working within the alcohol and other drug sector as a clinician.Ability to successfully engage and empathise with families/whanau in a positive manner.Legal right to work in New Zealand.Ability to implement Te Tiriti O Waitangi in daily work.How to Apply Please click 'Apply online' or apply via our Waikato Careers Website.
