Job Description:
Xero is seeking a talented and dedicated Communications Specialist to join our team in Hamilton, Waikato, NZ. As a Communications Specialist, you will be responsible for developing and implementing communication strategies to effectively convey Xero's message to various stakeholders. This role requires a high level of creativity, resilience, and dedication to ensure that our communication efforts are impactful and aligned with our company's mission.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement communication strategies to promote Xero's brand and key messages
- Create engaging content for various communication channels, including press releases, social media, and internal communications
- Manage relationships with media outlets and key stakeholders to ensure positive coverage of Xero
- Monitor and analyze communication metrics to measure the effectiveness of communication strategies
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure consistent messaging across all channels
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices in communication to continuously improve our strategies
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, or related field
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in a communications role
- Strong planning and organizational skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Creative mindset with the ability to think outside the box
- Resilient and able to adapt to changing priorities
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Experience with social media management and content creation is a plus
