Communications Specialist

Job Description:

Reliance Steel & Aluminum is seeking a motivated and resilient Communications Specialist to join our team in Hamilton, Waikato, NZ. As an Associate Level Communications Specialist, you will be responsible for developing and implementing communication strategies to promote the company's brand and engage with internal and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute communication plans to support the company's goals and objectives
- Create engaging content for various communication channels, including social media, website, and internal newsletters
- Manage media relations and act as a spokesperson for the company
- Monitor and analyze communication metrics to measure the effectiveness of communication strategies
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure consistent messaging and branding
- Provide communication support for special events, product launches, and other initiatives
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices in communication

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, or related field
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in a communications role
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent persuasion and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and social media platforms
- Experience with media relations and crisis communication is a plus
