Locally owned, we reflect the communities we serve, and we celebrate our people - our taonga, every day for being uniquely them.Our purpose is to enrich the lives of New Zealanders, with a vision to become one of the world's most customer-driven retailers, delivering meaningful and impactful communication that resonates with our customers.Te Turanga – About the roleAs an Internal Communications Specialist reporting to the Senior Communications Partner, this 12-month fixed-term contract (FTC) role is a maternity cover and focuses on fostering connection and engagement within Support Centre teams, through effective communications and events.You will be responsible for:Managing high-quality, engaging content across various media and communication channels.
This includes planning and delivering monthly leadership calls, supporting the CEO's weekly communications, and delivering monthly support centre townhalls.Collaborating with senior leaders to communicate key activities, changes, and updates effectively across the co-op.Evolving our internal brand guidelines, tools, and templates so we're communicating more consistently and effectively across our co-op.Supporting the delivery of internal events with creativity and excellence as part of our extensive events calendar.Innovating and exploring new communication channels, and providing training to deepen audience engagement and connection.Nga painga - What we offerWe're committed to providing awesome experiences for our people, including offering a range of benefits:Free car parking, we've got over 1,000 car parks including 36 EV plugs.Onsite café with subsidised meals, mini mart, 5% discount at our retail stores.Flexible working options, a day off on your birthday.In-house learning and development courses, flu vaccinations, and social network groups (we call them Tribes).He korero mou - About youWe are looking for someone with the initiative to take the lead, ask the right questions, build strong relationships, and consistently deliver high-quality work.Other skills and experience required include:Building and managing relationships to influence outcomes and enable our business to deliver strongly to our purpose and strategy.Thinking strategically, managing multiple priorities, and driving process improvements.Having courageous, constructive conversations to deliver strong, effective communications and drive a strong internal culture.Delivering high volumes of quality work quickly while remaining flexible to changing needs.Communicating complex initiatives in a simple and compelling way for diverse audiences.Having an eye for detail, the ability to work solo or alongside others, and to put your creative hat on too!Experience awesome.
