The Communications and Office Coordinator manages our reception desk, supports the day-to-day running of the Hall, and provides administrative support for the Principal, the Assistant Principal and other colleagues as required.
The Communications and Office Coordinator maintains the Arcady Alumni database, supports Alumni communications and engagement, and assists with marketing and recruitment activities.
This is a permanent, full-time role.Key Responsibilities:Manage the Hall reception desk, and provide a warm welcome to residents and visitors.Hold the Duty Phone during business hours and respond to any texts/calls, including resident requests for sick meals, maintenance issues, etc.
Update the daily RA duty report.Assist with student Hall tours and other recruitment events throughout the year.Manage email and social media communications with incoming residents and Move-In Day arrangements.Provide administrative support for the Principal, Assistant Principal, and other colleagues as required.Liaise with UC Accommodation and process student applications and accommodation contracts.Maintain the current residents' electronic records and the Arcady alumni CRM database.Provide support for alumni engagement activities e.g.
Newsletters, events, and relationship building.Assist the Community Development Manager with marketing activities including website updates and social media posts.Assist with conference guest check-ins and queries.Other:When needed, provide additional support during staff absences.Participate in strategic planning days.Undertake professional development relevant to the role.Help to run Hall events and activities.Promote a strong community culture based on the Hall's core values (inclusiveness, diversity and community) and its mission.About You:To be successful in this role you will have:Ability to work flexibly, both as a member of small team and independently.Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to relate to people from diverse backgrounds and cultures.Strong IT and database management skills.Plus, ideally:Experience of engaging with and supporting young adults.Awareness and understanding of the complexities of university life for students.Experience of events management and/or marketing.Closing DateMonday 10 February.
