Communications, Marketing & Funding Manager (permanent position, 37.5 hours per week, based in Timaru)
The Opportunity
Our highly respected and long-term Communications, Marketing and Funding Manager is retiring at the end of the year, so we are looking to replace her with an equally capable "superstar" who can manage all aspects of our organisational communications, marketing and funding requirements.
Reporting to the Chief Executive, this position will be responsible for:
Funding (approx. 50%) : writing various funding and grant applications (including programme and service RFPs/tenders) and all associated administration and accountability matters/reporting;
Communications & Marketing (approx. 50%) : developing and delivering communications and marketing strategies, implementation plans, resources and collateral which will enhance the profile, reputation and financial sustainability of the Y Central South Island across all the communities we serve.
Ideal Person Specifications:
A qualification and/or extensive experience (preferably in the non-profit sector) in communications, marketing and funding applications/tenders, and in utilising/optimising social media (TikTok, Instagram, Facebook) for communications and marketing purposes.
Strong strategic thinking and communication skills (verbal and written – especially in grant and accountability reports), and creative design capability to support communications, marketing and funding goals.
Excellent administrative and computer literacy skills. Proficient in MS Office suite of programmes, Adobe Creative Cloud programmes (In Design, Acrobat Pro, etc.), Canva, SurveyMonkey, photo and video editing programmes, WordPress.
Strong understanding of community and the Y Central South Island's mahi.
Knowledge of relevant community networks and resources across the communities served by the Y.
