Communications Manager

New Zealand Apples and Pears (NZAPI) is looking for a talented and self-driven Communications Manager to join their team.
About the Role As the Communications Manager, you will work closely with the internal and external stakeholders to play a key role in keeping the sector fully informed of the role that NZAPI plays in the social and financial well-being of New Zealand. You will work closely with the CEO to develop and maintain working relationships with key industry stakeholders.
Some key responsibilities will include: Communications leadership Advocacy support and guidance Creating and driving communications and advocacy strategies and annual plans for NZAPI. Managing social media platforms and communication channels. Build strong and enduring relationships with the growers and government officials. Ensure brand consistency. About you We are looking for a highly self-motivated individual that can work independently, be able to juggle multiple projects and that enjoys an upbeat and dynamic environment.
Important for this role: Relevant tertiary qualifications in communications or equivalent experience Proven experience in communications – ability to work with a wide range of stakeholders. Experience managing social media platforms. Strong written and verbal communications skills. Experience in working within the primary industries sector would be advantage. Clear leadership skills and strategic management experience.
