This senior position is responsible for strategic communications planning and delivery along with managing key communication functions, acting as 2IC as required and ensuring effective internal and external communications that align with organisational goals. Key focus areas include:• Strategic communications planning, media relations proactive PR• Issues and crisis management• Internal communications• Government relations.ABOUT YOUYou will be highly motivated and outcomes-driven, be process-driven with excellent attention to detail. You'll be able to build strong relationships easily across the organisation and be ready help lead a high performing team.To be considered for this role, you will have the following:• Tertiary qualification in journalism or communications studies• Ability to manage busy workload in a fast-paced environment, working on many projects at once• An established track record (10+ years) in communications or public relations, with a focus on external relations and corporate communications• Can demonstrate strong experience in strategic communications, issues and crisis management, stakeholder management, internal communications and media relations• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling narratives for diverse audiences.ABOUT USWe love New Zealand, and we care about our country's growth, our land, and our people.
