Marketing Assistants/Coordinators (Marketing & Communications) Are you seeking an exciting new opportunity? Due to growth of the organisation, we are seeking an experienced Communications Coordinator. Located in the Diabetes NZ National Office, Wellington. About the role | Mo te tunga This role is your chance to be part of an ongoing growing orgainsation. It's an exciting time for Diabetes New Zealand, we are implementing a new sustainable fundraising model by building our current fundraising streams for the future expansion of the organisation to fulfil the 2023 – 2030 Strategic Plan | Maher Rautaki. This has created an opening for a new role for a Communications Coordinator to work alongside our Marketing Manager. It is proposed that the Communications Coordinator, will have responsibility for the day-to-day management of our current social media channels to continue to grow our reach and support. The role will also lead on social media best practice, identifying opportunities for increasing participation and creating engaging content to grow engagement extending to social media best practice for our younger members of the diabetes community. This role will take responsibility for Kaha's Connect, the eDM specifically designed to reach our Live Brave Mana Ora – Youth community. The Communications Coordinator will lead the digital advocacy communications plan, developed in conjunction with the Marketing Manager and Head of Business Development. An appropriate tertiary qualification in communications. Previous hands-on experience in either: A social media, fundraising, communications, marketing or digital role (ideally within the charity sector). You will have experience managing a multi-channel social media calendar. Or creating and building a social media audience across multiple channels. You will have experience managing a multi-channel social media calendar. Demonstrable success in digital engagement and delivery via websites and social media. Excellent digital skills, with a track-record of creating engaging content for different audiences and platforms, including video production. Full working knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 and experience using Canva. Ability to prioritise work in a demanding environment, including time management skills and working to tight deadlines. Strong interpersonal communication and relationship skills with an exceptional ability to display empathy and support. Demonstrated respect and understanding for diverse cultural backgrounds. In addition, you must be flexible and able to adapt easily. A great sense of humour is essential to thriving in this organisation. What's in it for you | Nou te rourou?
