Mangatu Blocks Incorporation is an intergenerational Maori Incorporation based in Tairawhiti/Gisborne. The Incorporation manages and protects, on behalf of its shareholders, several thousand hectares of indigenous and exotic forests as well as investments into agriculture and the food industry. Mangatu's main subsidiary being the Integrated Foods Group.
The Integrated Foods Group is an international food processing and agricultural business with large scale farming and boutique lamb processing sites in Gisborne and Napier. Mangatu and IFL have a rich history in the region and are positioned to enrich that story in the years to come.
About the role
A newly developed role, the Communications Coordinator will work closely with our Communications Advisors to deliver the Mangatu Blocks Incorporation and Integrated Foods Group communications and information strategy. This is an exciting opportunity to be a part of shaping the delivery of internal and external communications for Mangatu Blocks Incorporation and the Integrated Foods Group.
Skills & experience
Tertiary qualification, or equivalent experience in communications.
Strong writing skills and the ability to craft compelling communications, tailored to the right audience.
Exceptional attention to detail.
Proficiency with digital platforms such as social media and websites.
Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
The confidence to build relationships and engage with key stakeholder groups.
Knowledge of Maori Incorporations/Business and Cultural awareness.
Proficiency in Te Reo Maori is desirable.
