About the Role:
We have an amazing opportunity for a part time (24 hours per week) Transformation Comms Business Partner to join the Corporate Affairs team based at our Christchurch office and reporting to the Executive Officer of the CEO for a 12 month fixed term contract.
The Transformation Comms Business Partner is responsible for delivering activity to support Ravensdown's communication strategy, both internal and external, that will help grow and develop Ravensdown's reputation. Create content to ensure our key stakeholders are appropriately engaged and informed.
Key Responsibilities:
Work closely alongside the Group Communications Manager and partners within the business to develop communication plans, campaigns and implement engaging communication activities.
Develop collateral to support employee engagement and their understanding of important organisational issues.
Help the co-operative craft, share and promote relevant and compelling stories for its audiences.
Develop collateral for all Ravensdown's communication platforms, including our intranet, social media and website.
Collaborate with Group Communications Manager so messaging and approaches are aligned.
Liaise with the Marketing Team to enable customer-oriented opportunities to be effectively leveraged.
Build relationships with employees within the business to leverage communication opportunities.
Other activities from time to time might include creation of corporate presentations, shareholder packs or company factsheets.
About You:
You will possess leadership capability and will gain credibility with your knowledge and skillset. You will have an eye on the big picture but able to switch to the operational detail easily. You will enjoy leading projects and be able to bring teams from within and outside the business with you on our environmental journey.
You will enjoy looking at new ways of working and ensuring that we comply with national legislation as well as company targets.
Ideal Skills & Experience:
A relevant tertiary qualification or relevant experience in a communications or journalism role.
Exceptional written communications skills including grammar, punctuation, editing and proof reading.
At least five years' experience in a communications/public relations role (or similar)
Ability to create content for a wide variety of channels and audiences.
The ability to take and give feedback constructively whilst operating effectively in a high-performing team.
Excellent ability to develop and maintain relationships.
Organised person familiar with taking accountability for deadlines and experienced in project management.
A proactive, team approach together with initiative and intuition.
It would be desirable to have and understanding of the Agribusiness or rural sector.
Video editing skills would be beneficial but not essential.
