While you'll be reporting to HR, this is obviously a communications role, so you'll be working and coordinating with the internal comms team pretty much constantly: contributing to the editorial calendar, sitting on committees, avoiding duplication of effort, aligning style and voice and look, etc.A big part of your work will consist of getting out into the organization and talking to people, gathering intelligence and feedback, especially from senior stakeholders. You'll need to know how things are going, so you'll lead the effort to gather insights via employee-engagement surveys.You have a few years of communications experience under your belt, preferably in an HR department — during which time you've distinguished yourself as an unusually creative professional with unusually good judgment. Maybe you've dabbled in journalism or social research in the past, because you have a knack for listening very carefully to people, capturing what they say and analyzing it wisely. You're an excellent writer and natural storyteller who knows how to take the everyday and render it compellingly, nor are you half-bad when it comes to designing and distributing collateral.Interpersonally, you have a natural way of putting people at their ease, of establishing rapport with folks all up and down the hierarchy. You're good at maintaining confidentiality.
