Communications and Marketing Specialist Full-time / Part-time Kia ora! We're on the hunt for a Communications and Marketing Specialist to join our team at Te Manu Toroa Trust in Tauranga Bay of Plenty. We are a Kaupapa healthcare organisation committed to improving peoples' health and hauora (wellbeing).

As a Communications and Marketing Specialist at Te Manu Toroa Trust, you will play a pivotal role in promoting our organisation's mission and services. You will be based at our Head Office in Tauranga Bay of Plenty and will have the opportunity to work either on a full-time or part-time basis, depending on your preference. This permanent position offers an exciting opportunity for someone with a passion for marketing and communication to make a real impact.
Key Responsibilities:
Developing and implementing comprehensive communication and marketing strategies to raise awareness of Te Manu Toroa Trust's initiatives, events, and services.
Creating engaging content for various platforms including social media, website, newsletters, press releases, and promotional materials.
Managing digital marketing campaigns to drive community engagement and support fundraising efforts.
Building and maintaining strong relationships with media outlets, stakeholders, and community partners to amplify our reach and impact.
Conducting market research to identify trends, audience preferences, and opportunities for growth.
Collaborating with internal teams to ensure brand consistency across all communications channels.
Evaluating the performance of marketing initiatives using relevant metrics and making data-driven recommendations for continuous improvement.
Key Requirements:
A proven track record in developing successful marketing strategies within a similar environment.
Demonstrable experience in creating compelling content for various platforms including digital media, print materials, and events.
An understanding of digital marketing tools such as Google Analytics, social media analytics platforms, email marketing software, etc.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage diverse audiences through written and verbal communication, including Te Reo.
A creative mindset with the ability to think outside the box when faced with challenges or opportunities.
Proven experience in developing and implementing successful marketing and communication strategies.
Demonstrable skills in digital marketing, including social media management and content creation.
Excellent written and verbal communication abilities with strong attention to detail.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple projects and deadlines.
Experience in graphic design and proficiency with relevant software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite).
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
Knowledge of branding principles and experience maintaining brand consistency across all platforms.
Proactive attitude with the ability to generate innovative ideas for promotional activities.
Collaborative team player with excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships internally and externally.
A relevant qualification in marketing, communications, or a related field is desirable but not essential.
