Nga Korero mo tenei turanga / About the role The core function of the Communications and Marketing team based in Tamaki Makaurau / Auckland, is to create and execute integrated internal and external communications and marketing campaigns that deepen client relationships, deliver differentiated value and insight to PwC's clients and inform and engage our people on the firm's strategy, and critical messages. The Communications and Marketing Director leads a national team of communications, marketing and design specialists that advise and work with multidisciplinary teams and Business Unit partners on end to end marketing and communications strategies and activities to drive engagement and support business and client growth. Working with the Chief Markets Officer and as a member of the Markets lead team, this role works as a senior advisor to sector and business unit leaders and partners on best practice go to market strategy and execution, and internal communications. Team leadership and Management: Overseeing a team of communications and marketing specialists, including goal setting, coaching, training, development, resource allocation, and prioritisation. Strategic planning and execution: Collaborating with the Chief Markets Officer to design and deliver communications and marketing strategies and special projects, and working with sector leaders to execute strategically aligned campaigns. Thought leadership and campaigns: Leading the team to design and deliver an annual thought leadership program, including firmwide and sector-specific campaigns, to differentiate the firm and provide value to clients. Stakeholder relations and PR: Advising the CEO and executive leadership team on stakeholder relations and issues management, leading the PR and media strategy, and managing the central marketing and communications budget. Brand and digital strategy: Acting as a brand custodian, providing best practice advice for new service launches, and overseeing the firm's social media and digital marketing strategy to enhance engagement and brand positioning. Nga pukenga kei a koe / Skills and experience Over 15 years of experience leading and coaching multidisciplinary communications and marketing teams, with a proven record in developing and implementing strategies and managing budgets and resources, preferably in a professional services environment. Advanced influencing, negotiating, and coaching skills to inspire and motivate others, alongside strong people skills to build trust and credibility with senior stakeholders. Excellent communication and facilitation skills, confident in public speaking, writing, and editing, and adept at working as a trusted advisor to senior leaders. Proven project management and organisational skills, capable of managing complexity and multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment, with a constructive approach to feedback and high resilience and adaptability.
