This Wellington based role is responsible for overseeing the organization's work to engage supporters and promote our activities both online and in the field. This role would suit someone not afraid of the limelight, who presents themselves well, is a wiz in traditional and social media, and has a passion for making things happen. If you love events, meeting new people and you're creative in getting a message across, you might be the person we're looking for. If you're interested in New Zealand's news and current events, you're self-motivated and are comfortable with sometimes needing to work fast or change focus, then get in touch, this is the role for you! The role includes internal and external communications, both written and digital, event management, media liaison and coordination of volunteers when needed. As a part of a small team, flexibility, communication and team work is a must because sometimes we all need to do what we can to deliver what's required. Based in downtown Wellington with some domestic travel requirements needed from time to time, we offer a small, friendly passionate team who are here to make a difference and keep the government to account, our taxes low and a work towards a prosperous New Zealand. Qualifications To succeed in the role, you will be: Supportive of our mission: you are passionate about championing lower taxes, less waste and more accountability  A media champion: you can present well to media and create collateral efficiently for both traditional and social media Exceptional communication: your communication style is effective and engaging over an array of topics Super-efficient, organised and nimble: you can handle the intricacies of media needs and event management, prioritising work for the hottest campaign Technology savvy: you have excellent media IT skills are able to pick up new programmes quickly, and have a good understanding of a range of social media platforms  Campaign experience: ideally, you will be university qualified, and have some experience working in politics, campaigns, public affairs or community engagement Politically minded: you live and breathe politics and don't need to be asked to keep abreast of political developments  Resilient with a sense of humour: you don't take the occasional hot-headed email to heart and your diplomacy helps you in your response Any offer will be dependent on the granting of a visa entitling you to work in New Zealand.
