About the Team Our Communications team sits at the heart of maintaining relationships across every area of our business - working with teams that maintain and develop the grid, run the electricity market system, manage our IT and cyber security systems, and those who are working to deliver New Zealand's electricity future. The Opportunity We have a new role available for a communications professional who understands that good communication begins by asking the right questions. In this dynamic role, you will be part of an engaged, hardworking team in an environment like no other. You'll enjoy lots of variety, intellectual stimulation, and challenge in your mahi as you: Work closely with and learn from the Communications Team Leader and other expert communications professionals Help develop and deliver advice that changes the way we communicate as a business Deliver tactical communications content across all external and internal communications channels and audiences Support areas of the business to work towards their goals, grow Transpower's public profile, and protect its reputation with all New Zealanders Step up in times of crisis and be part of our response team. To be considered, your CV and cover letter will clearly demonstrate: Two or more years relevant communications experience Experience in explaining technical information for non-technical audiences Evidence of your ability to build relationships and influence Some experience in issue or crisis management. While not essential, exposure to or experience in the following is advantageous: Experience in a regulated business environment Experience in or understanding of the electricity sector Understanding the complexities of large-scale infrastructure, the energy sector or utilities providing an essential service Exposure to STEM-orientated organisations Join Us at Transpower Aotearoa is powered by the people who work here.
