Mo te tunga | About the role Reporting to the Corporate and Customer Communications Manager, you will have strong writing and content creation skills and the ability to create effective communications for diverse audiences. The Communications Advisor role is based at our Lower Hutt campus, with flexible working options available. The key responsibilities of the role are: External communications including media release development and their proactive dissemination, and creation of content for external websites and publications. Internal communications including leading assigned communications projects and activities, assisting with change communications, and working with our management and senior leadership teams. Social media content creation which aligns with the organization's social media strategy, assisting with moderation of content, and monitoring for opportunities for engagement with stakeholders while having a strong radar for reputational risk. Learner communications across a range of online channels. Event management for assigned corporate events. Nga pukenga mo te tunga | What you will bring to the role We are looking for someone with experience at an advisory level, who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and is looking for a generalist role where they can grow their communications expertise. You will have: A demonstrated track record of producing high quality communication content that engages target audiences and meets stakeholder needs. Sound knowledge and use of communication and engagement tools, techniques and channels. Experience in building relationships with internal and external stakeholders. A can-do attitude with a keen eye for detail. A tertiary qualification in communications, public relations, or a related discipline.
