Ko wai matou? - Who are we? - A little about the company and history Established in 2019, Te Kahui Raraunga Charitable Trust (TKR) is an independent body which leads action required to realize?the?advocacy?of the Data Iwi Leaders Group.  TKR's aim is to enhance the social, cultural, environmental, and economic well-being of Maori; to enable iwi, hapu and whanau Maori to access, collect and use Maori data to measure and identify areas of Maori well-being requiring change. Supporting innovation and research that advances the use of Maori data, the overarching mission is to educate Maori on the benefits of collection and use of Maori data and to promote and advance opportunities for iwi, hapu and whanau Maori to share knowledge and information relating to collection and use of Maori data. Realising the potential of this data to make a sustainable, positive difference, TKR are co-designing a system-wide model for Maori data governance to ensure data design, collection and dissemination serves iwi and Maori needs.  Te ahua o Te Turanga - The nature of the position Continuing to thrive and innovate,the position of Communications Advisor has been created to work closely with the TPK communications agency and deliver internal communications support, as well as working externally with iwi and government stakeholders. Enhancing the awareness of TKR's kaupapa, progress and outcomes, this position will manage content development for TKR's social media platforms and its website. Supporting with the implementation of TKR's overarching communications strategy, you will also be supporting specific kaupapa with relevant communications and communication plans.  Entrusted with developing internal and external panui key stakeholders, you will manage stakeholder queries, requests for information and assist with stakeholder management. Monitoring media coverage, you will have the capability to proactively identify any opportunities to improve communications and relationships with all stakeholders. You will have the capability to bring matauranga Maori and pukenga to the role and contribute to project development and deployment. Importantly, you will have a genuine understanding and commitment to tikanga Maori and the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi. Nga tino Pukenga/Wheako - Essential skills/experiences for the role.  As an individual you will be a creative thinker, strategic planner, and passionate communicator. Whilst a formal qualification is valued, solid skills, knowledge and experience are perquisite to application.  Skill, knowledge, and experience required are to include; ·        Proficiency in using various digital marketing tools and platforms,experience in social media, EDM and Website CMS management. ·        Deep knowledge of Te Ao Maori and tikanga. ·        The ability to engage appropriately in Maori settings. ·        Solid understanding of digital marketing channels, techniques, and best practices. ·        A strong writing and editorial skill set, including experience writing fit-for-purpose content targeted to specific audiences in appropriate channels. ·        Skilled at using social media, digital media, and creating engaging content and design. ·        Have a strong attention to detail, technologically savvy, and the ability to work autonomously across different kaupapa. ·        Ability to handle multiple tasks concurrently, and experience working to deadlines. ·        Understanding of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and its application in a business environment. Naturally, you will be up to date with the latest trends and best practices. A creative thinker with a passion for building relationships and fostering engagement you will thrive working within a Maori-based environment.  Reporting to the Aho - Practice Manager, this position is permanent in nature, with part time hours between 25-30 a week.
