Te Puriri o Te Ora Regional Cancer and Blood Service, based at Auckland City Hospital, is the leading provider of cancer care in the Auckland region, serving a large and varied population of around 1.7 million people.
A rare opportunity has become available to join our team in a communication and administration support role. This role is an integral part of both the Cancer Support Team and Awhinatia Te Tangata, working to provide exceptional care and support to Maori and Pacific patients and their whanau through their cancer journey. The role involves a mix of administration, communication, and advocacy, with the opportunity to contribute to a culturally sensitive and patient-centred environment.

To be successful for this role, you will be a compassionate and proactive person who has a passion for supporting Maori and Pacific communities with a deep understanding of tikanga Maori and cultural intelligence.
You will also have experience in administrative roles, preferably within a healthcare setting, and possess excellent communication skills, enabling you to engage with patients and whanau in a warm, empathetic, and professional manner. Working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team, managing multiple tasks effectively, while demonstrating a strong commitment to continuous learning and improvement is essential.
