Job Description He aha te turanga - About the role: We are seeking a highly skilled Commissioning Operations Lead to provide operational management and specialist support, including project management, to the GM Commissioning.
Based in our Christchurch office, this role is vital in supporting the delivery of current and future Crown funding contracts for Hato Hone St John.
The core tasks are shown below, and the ideal candidate will be able to hit the ground running!
Contract Management: Oversee current contract processes, ensure compliance with service specifications, develop contract variations, and the delivery of business cases.
Governance and Reporting: Assist in the development and implementation of effective contract governance and manage commissioning workstreams to meet contractual reporting requirements.
Stakeholder Relationships: Build and maintain credible relationships with key internal stakeholders, providing professional and informed advice across the commissioning process.
Information Management: Facilitate the development and retrieval of artefacts to support negotiating or re-negotiating contracts.
Cultural Competence: Apply tikanga Maori principles to strategic thinking and operational delivery, focusing on health equity and quality improvement for Hauora Maori, and developing effective Tiriti/Treaty-based partnerships with Maori.
Team Contribution: Proactively contribute as a team member, enhancing service delivery.
Qualifications Ko wai koe - About you: Strong commercial and contractual expertise: you will have a deep understanding of commercial and contractual agreements, with the ability to manage and fulfil contractual obligations effectively.
Senior project management experience: you will have proven experience at a senior project level, capable of overseeing multiple streams of activity and navigating complex project environments.
Leadership and assertiveness: you will have the confidence and capability to take charge, assert yourself, and help guide senior leadership personnel, while providing clear direction and managing priorities.
Organisational and self management skills: you will have superb organisational skills, with the ability to manage your own workload.
Professional engagement: you will have a mindful approach to engaging with various parties, utilising appropriate commercial language and maintaining professionalism.
Commercial awareness: you will have awareness of commercial contexts, ensuring that all engagements and decisions are aligned with the organisations commercial objectives.
