Are you passionate about food and culture? Te Puia is looking for a talented and motivated Commis Chef to join our dynamic culinary team.
In this role, you'll prepare and serve high-quality dishes that reflect the rich traditions of Maori culture, creating memorable dining experiences for our manuhiri. Whether working on our buffet offerings, cultural dining experiences, or private events, you'll bring creativity, collaboration, and excellence to every plate.

Minimum Requirements:
A passion for cooking with creativity and flair.
Culinary cookery diploma and at least one year of experience in a commercial kitchen.
Strong knowledge of safe food handling and preparation practices, including HASSAP standards.
A positive, team-focused attitude and the ability to thrive under pressure.
Excellent time management and organisational skills.
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays, particularly during peak periods.
Familiarity with Te Puia's cultural and culinary offerings is advantageous.
