Full timeAbout Us: Mico New Zealand is a leading supplier of plumbing and bathroom products, serving trade, retail, and commercial sectors with 70 branches and around 500 employees nationwide.The Role:We are seeking a Commercial Manager to join the Mico Team. This role can be based in Auckland, or in Christchurch. In this pivotal role, you will partner with our General Manager to drive our financial success, providing commercial and financial leadership. You will lead a team of finance professionals, ensuring financial targets are met and identifying growth opportunities. This role will provide you with the opportunity to perform at the highest level, reporting through to our Divisional CFO.Key Responsibilities:Commercial Leadership: Support the development of business strategy, drive strategy execution, continuously identify new and clever ways to unlock/create value, develop commercial capability across the wider business, and provide day-to-day commercial decision support.Transformation & Change Leadership: Champion and drive the growth agenda and strategic initiatives to achieve long-term goals.Financial Planning & Performance Management: Develop financial plans that maximise return on funds; provide valuable insights into business performance and drive fast performance interventions where required. Manage the allocation and rationing of capital expenditure.Financial Control & Compliance: Ensure compliance with risk management policies, financial delegated authorities, tax, statutory reporting, and audit requirements.Special Projects: Undertake special projects as directed by the Divisional CFO or BU GM.About you:The ideal candidate needs to have a strong financial background with proven Finance Leadership experience. A resilient leader with a track record for creating high performing teams. Excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong relationships with senior stakeholders across the Mico business.CA qualification required with 10+ years' experience in strategic commercial/financial management.Proven track record in financial and business process improvement.Customer-oriented with the ability to craft commercially relevant narratives.Experience in large manufacturing, distribution, retail, or related industries.Experience in leading change & transformation.Proactive problem solver who thrives on understanding & resolving complex issues.Strong attention to detail and analytical skill set.Pre-employment checks: Pre-employment checks including references, medical, drug test, and a criminal background check are required as well as the legal right to work in NZ indefinitely.
