We have an excellent opportunity for an experienced Commercial banking professional to progress their career in an equally challenging yet exciting role, based in Wellington.
This role will give you the opportunity to support some of our largest customers to achieve their goals!
What does a day in the life of a Commercial Partner look like?
No day is the same and it's this variety that makes the role so exciting.
A typical day might entail: In the morning you're out on-site with one of your customers reviewing their annual business plan and understanding their funding needs for the year ahead.
Over lunch, you have your Business Development hat on attending an industry event or meeting a new potential customer.
During the afternoon you're back in the office analysing financials and the information you have gathered to structure lending assessments.
Any way you have it, you'll learn and grow, and get to work with a range of industry-leading BNZ specialists to ensure the delivery of appropriate products and services to meet our customers' requirements.
What is the team culture and environment like?
You will be joining a collaborative and supportive team, allowing you to share knowledge, learn from others, and continually grow and develop.
Most importantly, we're looking for someone who's motivated to help put their stamp on our culture and challenge us to lift the bar.
This role is a great mix of working independently and coming together as a team to deliver for our clients.
What is the most exciting thing about this opportunity?
It is a sought-after, diverse role with plenty of scope for professional development!
What is the most challenging thing about this opportunity?
We need to find someone who is motivated by connecting with new opportunities - not afraid to put themselves out there, pick up the phone or jump in the car to see how we can help.
Our clients and prospective clients expect us to add value to them and what they do - we must make every interaction count.
The successful candidate also needs to be able to be seen as a "trusted advisor" and build confidence by demonstrating their ability to work effectively through funding requirements for customers.
What attributes will this person have in order to be successful?
We are looking for a self-motivated, ambitious team player who has a growth mindset and desire to contribute to the performance of our region.
Ideally, you will also have a high level of commercial acumen and either an already established professional network in the region or proven ability to grow a network to help serve our customers brilliantly!
