Attractive salary package of $130k - $150k + car, negotiable based on experience Based in Dunedin Permanent Full-time Main DutiesYour responsibilities are such as, but not limited to: Conducting cost estimates and budgeting for construction projects.
Monitoring and controlling project costs throughout the lifecycle.
Administering contracts and ensuring compliance with terms and conditions.
Evaluating and negotiating contract variations.
Analyzing financial data related to construction projects.
Providing financial reports and forecasts to support decision-making.
Identifying and assessing potential risks associated with projects.
Developing strategies to mitigate and manage risks effectively.
Participating in the preparation and evaluation of tenders.
Negotiating contracts with suppliers and subcontractors.
RequirementsThe successful candidate will bring into the role: Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
Proven 10+ years' experience as a Quantity Surveyor in vertical structure construction projects.
Proficiency in quantity surveying software and tools – MS Excel, Aconex.
Experience in administering contracts and managing variations.
Strong analytical and numerical skills for financial analysis and reporting.
Ability to communicate complex technical information to various stakeholders.
Effective negotiation skills for dealing with contractors and suppliers.
Understanding of construction laws, regulations, and industry standards.
Adherence to ethical standards and professional integrity.
