We have a unique opportunity for a Commercial Manager supporting our Merchandise teams. You will be contributing to and delivering long term financial plans, working closely with the business to deliver insightful commercial reporting that unlocks value for our customers and our business! About the role You will be providing proactive commercial support for the GM Merchandise and their leadership team - developing and delivering customer driven, commercially astute insights and advice that enhances the outcomes & results of Category performance across all our Retail Banners. Key focus areas include: Using category strategy to drive the annual planning process for the Merchandise teams focused on long term gains Ensuring customer insights are at the centre of Category analysis, driving action and business performance improvement Provision of financial leadership and commercial evaluation support for key Merchandise strategic initiatives and investment decisions Development of business cases, and establishing regular reporting which surfaces key insights to key stakeholders About you Obviously, you will have highly refined skills and experience in financial reporting, forecasting and business information systems. Practical commercial understanding and a flair for simplifying complex business problems and financial information to non-finance stakeholders. Experience in FMCG with an understanding of what makes these businesses tick will be key. Proven leadership and coaching of others to develop commerciality in decision making will be required as will the natural ability to partner, as a trusted advisor influencing business outcomes.
