An exciting opportunity for a client and supplier facing professional with strong negotiation skills and deep understanding of international logistics to join a leading global 3PL. The successful candidate will have a high level of autonomy, taking full ownership of managing the logistics team, liaising and advising clients on shipping solutions, managing carrier relationships, and delivering end-to-end inbound, outbound, and reverse logistic solutions across a multi-brand, multi-channel business. Duties and Responsibilities: Responsible for building strong commercial relationships with both domestic and global carriers/suppliers Proactive and pivotal role in annual contract negotiations Provide support to our network of global fulfilment centres, ensuring transportation capacity needs are secured based on proactive planning and forecasting consignment volumes across the year Identifying and overseeing the onboarding of new carriers into the network Establish reporting across the entire carrier base, as well as clear communication of performance and building on KPIs and SLAs Responsible for all client communications, in particular timely notification of changes in carrier rates, carrier solutions, and compliance changes Analyse patterns and trends in data to better understand key lanes and optimise client's carrier solutions Manage the supply, quality, and deliveries in line with SLA with each carrier and challenge where appropriate Point of escalation and seen as an "expert" in the business to address carrier issues across different stakeholder groups Direct line management of a small team of logistic specialists, including coaching, mentoring, and managing appraisal processes Develop knowledge across internal and external stakeholders regarding international customs requirements and procedures, dangerous goods requirements, etc. Skills and Experience Required: Minimum of 5 years' experience (having attained manager level) dealing with or working within a logistics function, supply chain function, or carrier business Highly organised with the ability to prioritise own workload Strong base knowledge of incoterms and how to ship goods internationally from a duty paid and unpaid basis Ideally dangerous goods trained (IATA and/or ADR) and demonstrable experience of shipping restrictions/compliance requirements Excellent IT skills including MS Office 365 and Databases Strong analytical skills and attention to detail A problem solver with the ability to self-manage Strong commercial acumen with demonstrable experience of negotiating contracts and an understanding of margins Salary: Dependent on experience - Please provide salary expectation when applying.
