As Commercial Manager you will help with business growth in the North Island and work across both branches in Hamilton and Auckland.
This person will be involved in junior and peer mentoring to ensure development and skill transfer within the business.
The successful candidate requires a strong understanding of good commercial processes, demonstrating a keen awareness and practiced commitment to the importance of structure and due diligence.
This role can be based in Hamilton or at our Auckland office at Airport Oaks.Skills You Will NeedAs a pivotal member of our construction team, you will lead tendering, budget estimates, and client presentations.
Offering strategic advice, you'll assess project profitability and maintain a watching brief over all projects across the region.
Your meticulous approach guarantees accurate and timely production of pricing information, showcasing your competence and dedication.
In both pre and post-contract phases, you are essential in managing commercial aspects across regional projects, deploying best practices for their professional delivery.
Your emphasis on commercial outcomes and effective negotiations ensures optimal value for all parties involved.Capabilities and ExperienceMain contracting experience is a requirementClient-side Professional Quantity Surveying experience is desirableMinimum 10 years New Zealand commercial construction experienceNew Zealand vertical build construction experience is a mustUndergraduate University degree, such as a Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Project Management, Engineering or equivalentKnowledge and experience with the application of project management methodologiesExcellent NZ contract law knowledgeStrong relationship management and communication skillsBusiness development skills and tender submission experienceAbility to work effectively within a team and to deadlinesA natural ability to establish and build long-term working relationships with all stakeholdersCostX or similar experienceCulture and BenefitsYour dedication and hard work will be rewarded with a competitive salary, which encompasses KiwiSaver contribution and other staff benefits package.
