The Company
My client is a very successful commercial contractor with significant resources and support. They have successfully expanded their market position in commercial grade projects up to $30m and are now looking to invest and expand into major projects. Having recently secured a large complex project and with a $150m+ project likely to start in late 2023, they are expanding their local management team.
The Job
Reporting to the Regional Manager, you will manage all commercial and contractual elements across the projects. Leading a team of Quantity Surveyors, you will provide technical guidance and support to them, ensuring costs are efficiently managed and reported. You will provide consolidated cost management reports and analysis, including a strong focus on risk management and contract management. Working as part of the senior leadership team, you will provide operational and strategic advice to support the business in achieving its goals and commitment to quality delivery and exceeding client expectations.
The Experience
This role suits someone who is currently in a Commercial or Contracts Manager role or someone ready to take the next step in their career. You will bring extensive Quantity Surveying experience working on large commercial grade projects with excellent contracts knowledge (NZ3910 preferred). You will be experienced at working with robust project and financial systems and bring a client-focused approach.
