Commercial Leasing Manager | Wellington CityThe Commercial Leasing Manager is an exciting position within the Property Strategy & Planning team.The Ministry of Justice has one of the largest property portfolios in the public sector. A large proportion of the portfolio is aging with 40% of the buildings being over 50 years old. In addition, 15 buildings are historically classified, which increases maintenance requirements and operating costs.Over the next ten years, the Ministry intends to significantly invest in bringing its existing property portfolio up to a fit for purpose standard.In this role, you will be responsible for managing the Ministry's leased portfolio. You'll ensure the Ministry's leased premises are cost-effective and sustainable.To be successful in this role, you will have:Tertiary degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience; and a commitment to ongoing professional development.Relevant industry or technical qualifications and/or certifications.Client and tenant relationship experience.Well-developed procurement, negotiation, and lease management skills.Contributing to a culture of collaboration and cross-functional integration.Communicating with a wide range of audiences on a range of complex issues.Able to build and maintain a range of effective business relationships within an organisation and a wide network of professional relationships.Proven ability to identify risks and propose innovative solutions to ensure optimal property management.At Te Tahu o te Ture - the Ministry of Justice, we're committed to strengthening people's trust in the law of Aotearoa, New Zealand.It is an exciting time to join us.
