This role is a finance lead responsible for business partnering, driving strategic and financial outcomes for their respective business lines and branches. This business line/branch leadership role will be instrumental in developing and implementing key strategic and transformational initiatives to accelerate business performance across Motion's business lines.
Position Purpose

Managing in deliver of results: Partner in delivering strategic and P&L performance for the state operations through partnering with leadership teams, state managers, operational and financial stakeholders.
Actionable insights reporting: Building an advanced analytical decision support capability to support both strategic and tactical decisions.
Assist in Strategy and transformation: Partnering in solving business challenges through effective problem-solving, identifying opportunities and translating recommendations into execution plans.
Partner in bringing clarity across budgeting and forecasting: Partner in building and owning the planning and forecasting framework (monthly, quarterly and annual) across the state and business lines and highlighting the impacts from headwinds and tailwinds.
Managing and navigating ambiguity: Gather information and context from stakeholders, simplify the insights, provide accurate business performance updates and develop recommendations to overcome market and business volatility, uncertainty, complexity and ambiguity.
Deliver value: Continuously evaluate opportunities for enhancement of systems (PowerBI, TM1, Phocas) and process capabilities to maximize effectiveness and ensure seamless accurate reporting rhythm.
Decision Support: Manage ongoing analytics requirements for Leadership teams, General Manager, Head of Commercial Finance and Senior Managers.

Key Skills and Capabilities

Commercial / Analytical background – experience handling and analysing complex, high volume data with great attention to detail.
The ability to think beyond numbers and combine data with strategy and financial insights.
Be able to distil information creatively and visually so that it is digestible to both finance and non-finance partners.
Self-motivated, results oriented with the ability to perform under pressure in a changing business environment with the willingness to get their hands dirty.
Experience in identifying and implementing process improvement initiatives to improve insights reporting and drive business performance.
Proven modelling and excel skills; experience with other systems such as PowerBI, TM1, etc., would be beneficial.
Strong business partnering skills.

Training & Development

Attend any training and development as directed.
Provide on the job training, coaching and mentoring as appropriate to internal people as required.
Excellent engagement skills with a proven ability to build collaborative relationships with internal and external customers.

Professional Experience

Commercial professional, with analytical, budgeting and forecasting experience.
Exceptional business partnering skills demonstrated by an ability to grow and nurture relationships with stakeholders.
Proven track record in managing full P&L and building and maintaining financial models.
5-6+ years of relevant work experience in Strategy, Business & Finance Transformation, Commercial Finance and FP&A.
CPA and CA membership preferable (not a requirement).
