Our dream is to be the leading Multi-sport institute in the South Island of New Zealand.Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Commercial Director to lead and drive the commercial strategy of Christchurch United. This role is critical in enhancing the club's revenue streams, brand presence, and partnerships. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in commercial management, a passion for sports, and the ability to create and execute strategic business plans.Key Responsibilities:Develop and implement a comprehensive commercial strategy to increase revenue and brand value.Identify and secure new sponsorships, partnerships, and commercial opportunities.Manage existing relationships with sponsors, partners, and stakeholders to ensure long-term engagement and satisfaction.Oversee the club's marketing, sales, and promotional activities to maximize exposure and revenue.Lead and inspire a team of commercial professionals, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.Collaborate with the executive team to align commercial activities with the club's overall strategic goals.Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments to stay ahead of commercial opportunities and challenges.Prepare and manage budgets, financial reports, and forecasts related to commercial activities.Ensure all commercial activities comply with relevant regulations and ethical standards.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Sports Management, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).Minimum of 5 years of experience in a commercial or business development role, preferably within the sports industry.Proven success in developing and executing commercial strategies that drive revenue growth.Strong network of contacts within the sports, corporate, and media sectors.Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.Ability to think strategically and innovatively to identify and capitalize on commercial opportunities.Strong leadership and team management skills.Financial acumen and the ability to analyze and interpret financial data.Passion for football and an understanding of the sports industry's commercial landscape.What We Offer:Competitive salary and performance-based incentives.
