To champion NZ fashion and beauty, empowering people to live a fashionable lifestyle.Role OverviewAs the Commercial Director of Fashion Quarterly, you will lead and drive the commercial strategy across all channels: print, digital, social, and events. Your key responsibility will be to grow revenue by developing and executing innovative sales strategies, building and maintaining key client relationships, and overseeing end to end delivery of campaigns. This role demands a visionary leader who is both creative and analytical, with a deep understanding of the fashion and media landscape.The role is initially for a 1 year fixed term maternity cover; however, there is the opportunity to become a permanent role based on performance.Key ResponsibilitiesStrategic Leadership: Implement a comprehensive commercial strategy that aligns with the brand's vision and objectives. Identify new business opportunities and partnerships to drive revenue growth across all platforms.Sales & Business Development: Achieve targets by creating tailored advertising and sponsorship solutions. Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key clients, agencies, and stakeholders to ensure sustained revenue growth.Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain long-term relationships with key advertisers, sponsors, and partners. Ensure client satisfaction through exceptional service and innovative solutions.Integrated Campaigns: Come up with well integrated and on-brand commercial ideas for Fashion Quarterly. Create props and proactive for sales collateral/media kits. Design and oversee multi-channel campaigns that leverage Fashion Quarterly's 360-degree platform, including print, digital, social, and event spaces. Ensure seamless integration of content and commercial objectives.Event Sponsorships: Identify and secure event sponsorship opportunities, working closely with the events team to create impactful and profitable events.Market Analysis: Monitor industry trends, competitor activities, and market dynamics to inform strategic decisions. Analyse performance metrics to refine and improve sales strategies.Commercial PnL Management: Oversee the commercial budget for projects and events, ensuring efficient allocation of resources to maximise profitability. Provide accurate forecasting and reporting to management.QualificationsExperience: Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in a commercial role within media, fashion, or lifestyle sectors. Proven track record of business development to drive revenue growth and achieving sales targets.Skills: Strong leadership and team management skills. Exceptional negotiation and communication abilities. Creative thinker with the ability to innovate and drive results.Industry Knowledge: Deep understanding of the fashion, beauty, and lifestyle markets. Experience with multi-platform campaigns, including print, digital, social, and events.Analytical Ability: Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret market data, forecast trends, develop accurate budgets and adjust strategies accordingly.Personal Attributes: Proactive, dynamic, and results-oriented. Able to thrive in a fast-paced, ever-evolving environment with the ability to problem solve. Passion for fashion and media is essential. Must have impeccable communication skills.
